CSI Overnight Ratings

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

CSI was #1 in households and #2 in viewers 18-49 for it’s timeslot. Grey’s was #2 in households and #1 the 18-49 market.

I can’t find the article or post I read this but apparently Thursday night’s viewership was really low especially for the beginning of sweeps. I’ll let you know if I find it.

I think we are doing mighty fine for a show coming to the end of it’s 7th year.

Ending Happy Made Me Happy.

Friday, April 27th, 2007

I don’t do recaps so don’t expect much on that front. There are several sites that do it much better than I ever could. Just some quick thoughts about the ep:

This might be the most amusing ep in CSI Vegas history. I’m going to have to sleep on it but right now it’s in the lead.

A David Rambo episode is always a good episode. He really is all about the details and that makes for such good writing. I wait for his shows with baited breath.

Love the horror-movie-like-victim flashbacks. Vintage movie stuff perfectly meshes with CSI Vegas. Maybe because Vegas itself is a nice combination of old and new.

If Warrick and Nick’s jeans get any tighter they won’t be able to have children. Not that I’m complaining—about the jeans that is. I want them to be able to reproduce if desire.

Sara and Grissom TALKING about their relationship. Nice. We’ve seen evidence of the relationship but it was nice to have them actually acknowledge it out loud this season.

I give it two thumps up wit a snap and a circle.

What did you think?

Vegas’ Marg Helgenberger Stars In Summer Flick

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Marg Helgenberger(say that three times really fast) is co-staring as Kevin Costner’s wife in summer flick called Mr. Brooks. Here’s the IMDB blurb:

Consider Mr. Brooks. A successful businessman, a generous philanthropist, a loving father and devoted husband. Seemingly, he’s perfect. But Mr. Brooks has a secret — he is an insatiable serial killer, so lethally clever that no one has ever suspected him — until now. Earl Brooks (Kevin Costner) is a man who has managed to keep his two incompatible worlds from intersecting by controlling his cunning, wicked alter ego, Marshall (William Hurt), whom he blames for his wrongdoings. But now, as Mr. Brooks succumbs to one last murderous urge, an amateur photographer (Dane Cook) witnesses the crime. Suddenly Brooks finds himself entangled in the dark agenda of an opportunistic bystander, as well as hunted by the unorthodox and tenacious detective Tracy Atwood (Demi Moore). Can Mr. Brooks outsmart his adversaries and conceal his shocking double life from his wife (Marg Helgenberger) and daughter (Danielle Panabaker) or will someone expose his crimes and his identity once and for all?

A Summer flick with an Keven Costner and Demi Moore. Go Marg. I love thrillers so I’ll definitely be there. The trailer looks great.

Jorja Fox Leaving?

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Rumors are swirling all over the internet that Jorja Fox is ready to bolt and that CBS is going to kill off Sara. To me that seems like a load rubbish. However I’ve been wrong before and will certainly be wrong again.

Here’s what we know.

Sara and Grissom have been doing the do at least since last season.

It’s a secret.

There is going to be some major Sara drama during the season finale

No one at CBS or in Fox’s camp is commenting on the contract specifically.

Jorja has said that as far as we knows everyone will be back for Season 8 though no one is commenting on her contract specifically.

Complete speculation on my part.

The Grissom Sara Ship is major reason why CSI is holding it’s own against Grey’s Anatomy. I’d doubt TPTB are going to do anything to rock the boat at this point.

If Jorja leaves I’ll continue to watch but it won’t be the same. The question is does Jorja want to go? If does I certainly respect her needs and wishes.

I’m not too worried yet although I’ve been known to panic immediately before an ep.

Stay tuned for some Lady Heather information.
