Marg Helgenberger Makes the EW 100

Sunday, June 24th, 2007

Thanks to Jen for pointing this out. Here’s a bit of the article:

WHY HER

A star in an industry in which women over 40 are famously scarce, Helgenberger, 48, is one of a rare breed. This past year alone, the actress has starred opposite Kevin Costner in the thriller Mr. Brooks, filmed Columbus Day with Val Kilmer, and helped lead procedural powerhouse CSI through a critically acclaimed seventh season, during which it held 20 million viewers opposite Grey’s Anatomy. ”I certainly was motivated by the competition,” she says.

Jorja Fox Talks About the Season Finale

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

In a recent interview with Planet Jackson Hole Online talked about a number of things but what we really want to know about is CSI.

JF: Yeah, I was really lucky that way. My parents were a bit older. They were in the Depression. My dad was in WWII. My grandmother was in the house as well, and they were all extremely supportive. My mom wanted to be a painter, my dad wanted to be a writer, and my grandmother wanted to be a ballerina. But they had to put those ideas aside for more practical things like jobs…

PJH: I hear that you’re thinking about leaving [CBS’s hit show] “CSI.”

JF: All I can say is they don’t call it a cliffhanger for nothing. So, everybody’s just going to have to tune in in September and see what happens to poor Sarah Sidle, who’s in a bit of a bind right now.

PJH: What are you most interested in doing next?

JF: For the most part my heart has been very much with “CSI.” I’ve been doing it for seven years, and it’s been kind of hard to do anything but “CSI,” but I’m very grateful when I say that. If something’s going to consume you for seven years of your life, for me I feel very lucky it was “CSI,” so I would love to be a producer when I grow up, and help people get their stories told. Probably not on TV, but maybe in the documentary film world, feature film world. I have a little theatre company in LA. We put up original plays.

Did ya really think she was going to spill the beans?

Claire Forlani Gets Married in Italy

Saturday, June 9th, 2007

claire_forlani.jpg
Congrats to the happy couple. CSI cast members lseem to like getting married in Italy. You’ll remember that William Petersen married his Italian American wife Gina Cirone married in Petrignano, Italy a few years back. Check out the details:

Desperate Housewives actor Dougray Scott and actress Claire Forlani wed in a private civil ceremony in Italy on Friday, PEOPLE has learned.

“They’re both very excited,” a source says about the newlyweds.

Forlani wore a custom-made strapless gown with a “classic, Old Hollywood feel” by designer Junko Yoshioka for Bonaparte-NY, says the source. She completed her look with a crystal hair pin by Swarovski and Jimmy Choo heels.

The bride’s father, Pierluigi, is Italian and helped his daughter plan the festivities for more than 100 guests. He told Italian newspaper Il Resto del Carlino that, at the reception at the family’s country home in Pievebovigliana, “I will be the official cook of the event.”

The couple met a year and a half ago through a mutual friend. Scott, 41, proposed to Forlani, 35, in Los Angeles in September. “It was very romantic,” Scott, who presented Forlani with a ring he designed, told PEOPLE. “I feel so lucky to have met her. She’s an amazing actress and human being. I’m very happy.”

Scott recently played Teri Hatcher’s love interest on Housewives. Next up for the Scottish actor, who also starred in Mission: Impossible II, is the World War II movie The Cone Gatherer with Emily Watson.

Forlani has a recurring role on CSI: New York. She’s also appeared in films including Mallrats and Meet Joe Black.
