Anna Belknap Still a Cast Member of CSI New York

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Remember this press release where Anna Belknap was listed as a reccuring cast instead of a series regular? It turns out that it was all just a typo. Danny/Lindsay shipper can rest easy. From TV Guide’s Ausiello:

Question: I saw in a CBS press release that CSI: NY’s Anna Belknap is now listed as a recurring cast member and not a series regular. Is this accurate? What happened?— Grace

Ausiello: That was, in fact, a big fat typo. A CBS rep assures me that Anna remains a series regular.

Jorja Fox And Eric Szmanda

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

Jorja Fox and Eric Szmanda attended  the 2007 Animal Acres Benefit on August 25.

Animal Acres is a farmed animal sanctuary and compassionate living center located just 45 minutes from Los Angeles.

Animal Acres works to promote compassionate living through its farmed animal rescue and refuge efforts, public education and outreach, and advocacy projects to prevent cruelty to farmed animals. Since we opened our doors in 2005, thousands of people have visited the sanctuary and learned that farmed animals need protection, and love, too.

Video: Adam Rodriquez in Let The Game Begin

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

This is a groovy little montage of Adam Rodriquez’s latest film. Adam plays Ricky, a guy who introduces his cousin to the world of pick-up artists. So do you think that Adam is wearing a weave or did he actually let his hair grow that long? I actually kind of dig it. The film will be released in November

Gary Dourdan Hangs Out With Photogs

Friday, August 24th, 2007

Gary Dourdan seems to be actually getting along with the paparazzi these days. He was spotted early Thursday morning chatting up photographers on subjects ranging from Barack Obama to weddings. Interestingly enough this is the exact same spot where his original altercation occurred. There is one small curse word so don’t play it in front of the kiddies.

Jessica Lucas Will Only Appear in Four Episodes of CSI

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Looks like CSI’s newest cast member isn’t a permanent cast member. She’ll only appear in four episodes. Here is the official press release from CBS.

JESSICA LUCAS TO GUEST STAR ON “CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION”

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 - Jessica Lucas (”The Covenant,” “She’s the Man”) will guest star on four episodes of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, beginning Thursday, Oct. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Lucas plays Veronica Lake, aka “Ronnie,” a young, vivacious, curious and smart new CSI in training who chose to go to Vegas because of the increase in crime rates there.

Lucas’s credits include the feature films “Split Decision,” “The Covenant” and “She’s the Man.” She has appeared on the television series “Secrets of a Small Town,” “Life As We Know It” and “The L Word.”

CSI New York Set for An Exciting Season

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Coming on the heels of the super exciting season finale, CSI: NY is set to add some more action to the series.

“We’re going to follow up. I think we’re going to be a little more focused on the continuity with that kind of stuff now,” CSI: NY writer Peter Lenkov confirmed to CSI Files’ Kristine Huntley when asked about the characters’ fate from the season three finale.“We wanted to do something different. I think we wanted to do something big and noisy and get everyone involved and have space for everybody.

What happened was that [co-writer] Pam [Veasey] and I were sitting around and just talking about something we’d love to write but that we don’t get to write on CSI and we ended up finding a way to fuse that love of action, adventure, pacing and timing and real big stakes, and were able to weave that in to a CSI framework,” Lenkov said. “I think because of the response and the actors and everybody, we’re adding some ticking clocks to episodes. New York is a fast-paced town so I think a lot of our stories could work with some action-adventure elements in them, and I think that’s what we’re going to do in some episodes. You’ll see that–there’s definitely some in the first few episodes. There’s high stakes and ticking clocks and a lot of run and jump stuff that I think is satisfying to people.”

I can’t wait. The season finale really blew me away.

Jessica Lucas Joins the Cast of CSI

Monday, August 20th, 2007

manpre.jpgThis just in:

Jessica Lucas has just signed on to become a reoccurring character on CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will play a CSI in training.

Lucas’ character is named Veronica Lake, but people call her Ronnie. She is a young, vivacious, smart newbie who gets multiple job offers. She chooses Las Vegas because of the increase in crime rates there.

It is understood that Veronica is designed as a new addition to the team, not a replacement for Sara Sidle, who was left crushed under a car with her hand barely moving in the Season 7 finale. Lucas is joining the series this fall.

That should be a relief to all the Sara fans concerned that the new cast member was set to replace Sara. Interesting to note that the character’s name has been changed from Vivian Leigh as first intended.
