David Caruso Stalker May be in Mexico

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

The woman accused of stalking David Caruso is being sought on an international warrant and may be living in Mexico. The Austrian woman is accused of sending over 100 letters to the David, many of them containing death threats.

The woman, who’s in her early 40’s, “was charged with stalking and threatening to kill Caruso, but failed to show for her trial in July 2007 and again in April.” According to international, authorities she may be living and working in Mexico. In 2007, the woman is suspected of sending a letter with a Miami postmark that bore this sentence, “”I will locate you and your ugly Latina tramp and kill you.”

It was unclear if she was talking about costar Alana De La Garza, who played Marisol Caine or his former girlfriend Liza Marquez, the mother of his two youngest children.

Kristin Cavallari to Appear on CSI:NY

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Former Laguna Beach reality star Kristin Cavallari has landed a guest appearance on CSI:NY. She’ll play a handbag designer.

“We wanted a fresh face. Someone young, attractive, hip. And because the episode is set in the fashion world, we thought who is a bigger trendsetter than Kristin?” CSI:NY executive producer Peter Lenkov told Access Hollywood. “My tween daughters talk about her all the time. I finally stood up, took notice and jumped on the Kristin bandwagon.”

Cavallari previously appeared on Veronica Mars and Cane.  Young Hollywood is really digging CSI:NY. Rumer Willis will make a guest appearance on the show’s hundred episode later this month.

Kristin’s episode is set to air December 17.  You’ll have to watch to find out if she’s the victim or killer.

CBS Launches Social Viewing Rooms

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Social viewing rooms are the latest CBS innovation. I noticed these when I missed an episode of CSI and watched it later on the CBS site. Friends from around the country are “able to join a virtual room to watch a synchronized playback of popular programs while chatting, taking polls, quizzes and even throwing such animated objects as tomatoes and kisses at the screen.”

“In the past when you watch videos online, it’s a very isolating experience,” said Anthony Soohoo, senior general manager of CBS Interactive. “This takes people 3,000 miles away and makes them feel like they’re sitting on the couch next to each other. The social viewing room is a next-generation social media platform that lets users engage with each other and the content they are watching in a fun new way.”

I agree. Watching video can be a very isolating experience even when you have people to view with. Sometimes friends and family don’t get your zeal for a particular program nor are they up on the history. Has H ever gotten over Marisol? Will Sara and Grissom ride off into the sunset together? I used to hang out in a CSI chatroom with some online friends while CSI is was on and it was really a fund experience.

I really like the idea of social viewing. Would any Watching CSI readers be interested in setting up a viewing after a show aired? It could be lots of fun. I’d love to meet our readers. Has anyone tried a viewing room with a group of friends? I’d love to hear about it.

Hill Harper Wants Real Joes 4 Obama

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Joe the Plumber was a huge deal at the last presidential debate, In case you missed all the hullabaloo,
Joe Wurzelbacherr(who may or may not be a certified plumber) publicly questioned Barack Obama about his tax plan. (Seems Joe was planning to buy the business from his employer.)

In response to all media frenzy, Hill Harper is asking Joe’s and JoAnn’s to upload their videos of support to Joe’s 4 Obama. Hill is a longtime friend and supporter of Obama. The have been close since their day at Harvard Law School . He’s hosted fundraisers and campaigned heavily for the Democratic nominee.

Adam Rodriquez is the only other CSIer that I know of who’s openly supporting a candidate. I know that Gary Sinise is a a conservative but I’ve not see him on the McCain-Palin campaign trail. Have you guys spotted any CSIs on the campaign trail.
