Sunday, April 26th, 2009

annabelknap

This one flew under the radar.  Anna Belknap and husband Eric Siegel welcomed their her second child on February 6th. George joins 21-month-old sister, who’s name hasn’t ever been publicly released.

Anna said it was strange being pregnant on and off screen. “I forget when we cut that I’m still pregnant when I walk away! It’s very weird in my head because you’re thinking in pretend when you’re acting.”

Congratulation Anna!

Eva LaRue At 20th Annual Romy Awards

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

evalarueroth

Eva LaRue was a stunner at the Vienna’s 20th annual Roth Awards.  According to Wireimage, Eva’s with her boyfriend Brad Hamlin which is terribly confusing to me because last I heard she was getting married to businessman Joe Cappuccio. She was also seen with this guy back in March.

The Romy TV award was named in “honor of the actress Romy Schneider was created in 1990 by the Austrian newspaper Kurier.”

William Petersen Confirms CSI Movie

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

williampetersencannes5

Looks like the rumors a true.  A CSI movie is definitely in development.  Here’s what William Petersen said about the proposed movie:

“It’s about finding the right story, there has got to be a real reason to do it.  I can understand people are a little trepidatious because of the franchise around the world and how well it’s doing.  Usually people leave it till a series has finished - they did that with The X-Files and Sex And The City. But it’s about finding the right story.  There has got to be a real reason to do it. You don’t just do it because you want to make money; you do it because there’s a story that can’t be told on TV and needs to be told from CSI’s perspective and the audience wants it.  And we can’t wait for CSI to end or Grissom will be about 90.”

No word on a release date.  What do you think about a CSI movie?

David Caruso’s Stalker Sentenced

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Last week David Caruso’s stalker was sentenced to prison and a stay in a psychiatric facility. A judge sentenced Heidimarie Schnitzer to “seven months in prison followed by a yearlong stint in a mental institution.”

The woman, accused of sending the CSI:Miami leading man over 100 threatening letters, told the court that it was all a joke.

“It said in the Internet that every fan gets an autograph, and I wanted one as well. But the threatening was just meant as a joke. I only wanted to attract attention,” she said.

Schnitzer disappeared right before her trial was set to start in April of last year. She was nabbed in Baja California, Mexico last month and deported to her native Austria.

Around the blogosphere, we’d all suspected that David’s stalker was in Mexico. A particular brand of negative comments about the star had once come from Austria. The author’s IP moved to Mexico around of May of last year.

Next up we’ll see how David’s lawsuit with ex girlfriend plays out. At least this dangerous woman’s been captured.

Brian Austin Green To Guest Star in CSI Miami Finale

Monday, April 13th, 2009

brianaustin-gree

Former Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green is set to star in  CSI:Miami’s season finale. Green will play  an alleged car jacking victim who isn’t as innocent as he seems.

“Our casting director suggested [Green] to me for this role,” executive producer Ann Donahue told People. “I thought he was perfect because he can play a tough guy and also have a leading man presence. So, we are thrilled to have him in our finale!”

Miami’s season finale is tentatively set to air on May, 25. No tittle has been released. Green starts filming his scenes this week.

Green plays Derek Reese on The Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He’s currently dating actress Megan Fox.

Wow, it seems like just yesterday that the season started. At least summer will be a good time to catch up on any episodes we missed.

David Caruso Sued by Ex-Girlfriend

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

davidcliza07.jpg

Liza Marquez is suing David Caruso for fraud, breach of their settlement agreement, and emotional distress. The mother of David’s two youngest children says she and David met on the CSI Miami set in 2004. Soon after they started dated and subsequently began living together. Liza claims that David gave her a ring, asked her to stop working and promised he’d never to leave her.

She also claims that David was a “possessive boyfriend and reluctant father who ended their relationship two days after the birth of their second child.”

Liza contends that David promised her a $1 million settlement then never came through. He allegedly told her he’d “bury her” she tried to pursue the matter. She now wants the deed to the house the couple shared and punitive damages.

According to David’s attorney, the actor finds the lawsuit “unfortunate since these claims will divert the parties and the court’s attention away from the best interests of the children”.

His manager, Jason Weinberg released the following statement:

“Last month David became concerned about the welfare of his children and sought court assistance to redefine David’s and Liza’s custodial schedules.

“It now appears that Liza has decided to retaliate by raising false claims against David, which David finds unfortunate since these claims will divert the parties’ and the court’s attention away from the best interests of the children.”

There’s a lot going on with David right now. He’s been dealing with this stalker, now this. Hopefully they can settle this matter amicably before it turns into and ugly court battle.”

Liza’s legal counsel says the suit isn’t retaliatory because the ” lawsuit was prepared, submitted to him in June, settled in August and then he delays it for six months”.

CSI Amoung TV’s Top Money Makers

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

csi128

According to Forbes, CSI is on one TV’s most lucrative shows. Based on research by TNS Media Intelligence, CSI makes $2.1 million per 30 minute segment by charging $201,000 for a 30 second ad. After all the super secret number crunching, the show averages $4.2 million per airing.

“It’s not necessarily just eyeballs that advertisers are buying here,” Ed Gentner, senior vice president of video investment activation at MediaVest said. “It’s the right eyeballs.”

I do find it strange that CSI Miami didn’t make the list. It’s one of the most popular shows in the world. Maybe salaries and location shoots hurt it’s ranking?
