David Caruso Stalker Flees

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

davidliza.jpg

David Caruso and his family have dealt with a deranged fan for quite some time now. At some point last year, Austrian authorities finally nailed a 41-year-old woman who’d allegedly sent notes to the star.
She managed to avoid trial that time because she was out of the country. This time her attorney assured authorities that she’d be in court yesterday.

Looks like she lied (Wow what a surprise).

The fugitive is accused of sending more than 100 letters to the 52-year-old actor, famed for playing Lt. Horatio Caine on the hit CBS TV series, and stalking him for an autograph. When Caruso refused, the Tyrol native allegedly bombarded him with death threats.

One little chestnut went thusly: “I will locate you and your ugly Latina tramp and kill you.”

Some news reports suggest that she’s talking about Alana De La Garza who played his wife Marisol on the show. I’ve of the mind that the stalker is talking about his most recent partner Liza Marquez(pictured above) who’s also the and mother of his two youngest kids.

Per the Austria Press Agency, the suspect underwent an evaluation by a court-appointed shrink, who testified that the suspect was suffering from a “profound personality disorder.”

If convicted she could face up to three years in prison thanks to tougher Austrian stalking laws. That’s would be on top of her eluding justice charges.  My thoughts are with David and his family.

Our fair Horatio? That’s correct. Back when he was NYPD’s Blue’s John Kelly, David Caruso steamed things up with Amy Brenneman. The two showed some back side during the TV drama’s premier episode. Many stations refused to air the groundbreaking ep. I’ve never actually seen it myself. For the complete list click below.

Khandi Alexander Puts Home on the Market

Monday, February 18th, 2008

normal_csi-m-612_04.jpg

Khandi Alexander has put one of her chi chi homes up for sale. The said crib’s on the market for $4,495,000. The Woodshill Trail property, located behind the Chateau Maramont, has 5 fireplaces, a gym, library, office and swimming pool. Khandi acquired the “4-story, 4,126 square foot house with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms” for $2,850,000. in December of 2001. A $1,654,000 profit ain’t too shabby after seven years.
Khandi has sold two other properties in the last few years.

She’s sold two other homes in the last few years. A Hollywood Hills condo went for $395,000 in August 2007 and a Hollywood house sold for $1,240,000 in late 2005.

CSI Miami is the most watched show in the world. The entire cast must make a killing on rebrocast in other countries. Guess Khandi figures it’s time to move on up. Wonder what she’ll buy next.

Writers Strike May End Soon

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

wga.jpg

WGA(Writers Guild of America) members and studio heads are near a deal that would end the three-month strike. Inside sources say a signed deal may happen by the end of the week. Rumors abound that studios are considering an extended season. That could mean CSI, CSI Miami and CSI:NY would be able to wrap up some pivotal plots. I’m thinking the whole Sara/Grissoms storyline. He asked her to marry him and then she bolts. That certainly needs some more explanation.

On Miami, I’d like to see a bit of more the Horatio/Kyle relationship develop. With Mac’s nemesis being brought down, there isn’t much left hanging on New York though we could be in for some surprises. If they do make a deal by the end of the month, I’d guess that production would could start as early as Monday morning.

Adam Rodriquez and Hill Harper Featured in Obama Video

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

We all know that Hill was an avid Obama supporter but I had no idea(maybe I’d forgotten) that Adam Rodriquez was a supporter as well. The video features a bevy of celebs singing and speaking along with an Obama speech. Interestingly enough, the Obama campaign had nothing to do with the actual creation of the video(got that little tidbit from NPR) though they sure are capitalizing on it now. Adam appears around 1:57 in the video. Hill show up very briefly near the end. Aisha Tyler, who was a lab tech on CSI for a time, first shows up at 1:02 but also follows Adam’s appearance. It’s a pretty cool vid be ye a supporter or not. And who can resist John Legend singing.

David Caruso Launches New Company

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

lexicon.jpg

David Caruso made an appearance at last week’s Consumer Electronics Show(CES) to talk up his new company Lexicon. There’s not a lot of information on the media technology company though David and his partner did give an interview to CNET. In the vid, they used phrases like “competitive technology” and “accessibility” but weren’t ready to reveal exact details on the company’s business plan. David’s partner Nils Lahr, helped found iBeam(a wireless handheld camera system) and was instrumental in developing Windows Media streaming technology.

What all this adds up to is…well I don’t know but it sounds like David’s got some big plans.

Good luck to David on your new venture. Hopefully we’ll get too his youngest daughter Paloma Raquel, born in October, soon.  I’m sure she’s a cutie.
