David Caruso Sued by Ex-Girlfriend

Liza Marquez is suing David Caruso for fraud, breach of their settlement agreement, and emotional distress. The mother of David’s two youngest children says she and David met on the CSI Miami set in 2004. Soon after they started dated and subsequently began living together. Liza claims that David gave her a ring, asked her to stop working and promised he’d never to leave her.

She also claims that David was a “possessive boyfriend and reluctant father who ended their relationship two days after the birth of their second child.”

Liza contends that David promised her a $1 million settlement then never came through. He allegedly told her he’d “bury her” she tried to pursue the matter. She now wants the deed to the house the couple shared and punitive damages.

According to David’s attorney, the actor finds the lawsuit “unfortunate since these claims will divert the parties and the court’s attention away from the best interests of the children”.

His manager, Jason Weinberg released the following statement:

“Last month David became concerned about the welfare of his children and sought court assistance to redefine David’s and Liza’s custodial schedules.

“It now appears that Liza has decided to retaliate by raising false claims against David, which David finds unfortunate since these claims will divert the parties’ and the court’s attention away from the best interests of the children.”

There’s a lot going on with David right now. He’s been dealing with this stalker, now this. Hopefully they can settle this matter amicably before it turns into and ugly court battle.”

Liza’s legal counsel says the suit isn’t retaliatory because the ” lawsuit was prepared, submitted to him in June, settled in August and then he delays it for six months”.

Every claim in the documents is contradicted within the documents. Setting up smokescreens as a bid for money to the detriment of the children is outrageous on its face. Both Liza and her attorney should be prosecuted for filing nuisance suits.

This week should bring some welcome news for David Caruso. On Tuesday, his mentally unbalanced Austrian stalker goes to Court where she will be tried on charges she stalked and threatened to murder David Caruso, Greta Caruso and Liza Marquez. Heidemarie Schnitzer fled to Mexico a year ago where she was captured in February and extradited to Austria. During her flight from justice, Schnitzer spent between 16 to 20 hours a day fomenting a hate campaign on the Internet directed at Caruso, his family and associates.
