Dress Like a CSI for Halloween Part One

by KD Griffin

Want to look like a genuine CSI for Halloween? This is the first part of our CSI Halloween Costume Guide. I know we are all busy so our first costume suggestion is easy peasy.

Generic Field CSI Costume

Our first option is a generic CSI Las Vegas style. These people actually look like they are going to work on a crime scene. First you’ll need your jumpsuit. Amazon has a CSI jumpsuit on sale for $36.99.

You can also snag a matching baseball cap from Amazon for only 6.99. I have no idea where to get those awful hats Grissom and Catherine have been wearing lately so don’t ask.

Next you’ll need your kit. Of course you can grab a generic tackle box but what fun would that be? I say spring for this baby over at e-Toys. It’s a little pricey at $59.99 but man it’s got everything to you need for a night of crime fighting including gloves which I suggest you us for your costume.

Blood splatter on your gloves can be tricky and sticky but I think we should go for it. You can try this yummy recipe for your very own homemake blood.

  1. 1 c. Karo Syrup
  2. 1 Tbsp Water
  3. 2 Tbsp Red Food Coloring
  4. 1 tsp Yellow Food Coloring
  5. Mix together in a mixing bowl and you’re done. Try adding blue or yellow for a different shade.

Top off your costume with sensible black shoes or boots and you should be ready to go. This weekend I’ll unveil what you need to be a Sexy CSI.
