Khandi Alexander Leaving CSI Miami

TV Guide reports another cast shake up. CSI Miami original cast member Khandi Alexander is set to depart. CBS declined to comment but Ausiello insists that Khandi had “had some, um, issues with a certain aspect of the show and leave it at that, K?” CBS is said to be looking for a new medical examiner. This one will be male. I wonder who’ll they’ll cast.

Khandi started out as a dance and choreographer. Her stage credits include Dreamgirls and Chicago. She even choreographed Whitney Houston’s road show for four years. She came to my attention as Fran in the miniseries The Corner. With her talent there’ll be no shortage of work. Good luck Khandi. We hate to see you go.

csi was one of my favorite shows. not anymore. I will not watch the show without Khandi Alexander. she was very talented and i enjoyed her. also lilly-white shows are unrealistic.

  2. KD Griffin Says:

Couple of things. Khandi chose to leave CSI Miami for whatever reason. Even with her gone the cast is not all white. There are two Latino cast members and we have no idea who will replace her.

You can’t possibly say that you didn’t notice that something was medically wrong with Khandi Alexander…she was stilted in her speaking in the last two (at least) episodes…I brought it to my daughter’s attention and she watched her taping of the show and said she never noticed…she was reading over the person’s shoulder when she spoke to them in those episodes and she still could not get her words together…I was sad for her, since she was a favorite.
The last show she was on was the most telling…she was hesitating before going to the next word and searching for it…guess no one noticed until I pointed it out and can’t believe no one else noticed on their own….as I said…when showed to a couple of people they were dumbfounded that they had missed it completely. If she is on new shows…great…whatever was causing her to not remember the script is now gone then…but, it was definitely medical then.
There are plenty minority…why does it always have to be about black/white/brown?
Stupid and ignorant…guess Adam Rodriquez is a white boy using Hispanic name in real life? and there are others also…but, not wasting my time naming them to the challenged who aren’t my concern…they are society’s concern…being that inane.
